A well-balanced, lightweight and stable assembly

L-shaped frame

You can't always use your largest tractor for spraying operations; therefore, the design of the frame and the "OPTILIFT" parallelogram features the lightest unladen weight configuration on the market and the centre of gravity is positioned close to the tractor. The sprayer hitch system is integrated within the machine's outline keeping the sprayer close to the tractor and reducing the lift requirement.

Well-balanced tanks

The special shape of the main tank makes it easy to empty, even on steep slopes: the deep and double-sloped sump reduces the residual volumes. The position of the rinsing tank opposite the sump maintains the balance of the assembly throughout the spraying operation.
Nominal tank capacity: 1,500, 1,800 and 2,000 litres.
Actual tank capacity: 1,680, 1,900 and 2,280 litres.
Rinsing tank capacity: 230 litres.

EASY-HITCH automatic hitching: connect, reverse and lift

The EASY-HITCH automatic hitching system, standard on the ALTIS 2 sprayer, provides quick, comfortable and safe hitching. The pump is positioned at the rear of the sprayer, thereby offering easy access for maintenance, but above all you benefit from a long PTO which helps with hitching up. The operator can maintain enough space for making connections before backing up and locking the sprayer in place. The EASY-HITCH triangle is automatically locked and secured, with no risk of it becoming unhitched during operations.

OPTILIFT parallelogram for suspension of the boom on the road and in the field

A parallelogram just like on the larger models

OPTILIFT is a key feature of ALTIS 2 sprayer. Nowadays, many manufacturers of trailed and self-propelled sprayers have swapped sliding mast lifting systems in favour of parallelogram lifting systems. ALTIS 2 mounted sprayers have naturally followed this trend by proposing the OPTILIFT parallelogram lifting system, essential to sprayer performance.

The OPTILIFT parallelogram is not just a boom lifting solution; the boom supports and nitrogen accumulator provides complete boom protection both during transport and field work with excellent flexibility.

Large height range

The OPTILIFT parallelogram features a 2.50 m working height (when hitched to the tractor) and allows the boom to be lifted high for work in tall crops. Compared to the many sliding mast models available on the market, this often represents an additional 50 to 80 cm in working height.

Suspension in transport

When in the transport position, the boom is not fixed but is suspended directly by the OPTILIFT parallelogram. All irregularities in the road are thus dampened, and the boom is protected.

TRAPEZIA suspension

Specially designed for RHPM, MTS2 and MTA3 booms, the TRAPEZIA boom suspension is perfectly adapted to the ALTIS 2 sprayer.
The TRAPEZIA suspension is monitored by two rods that hold the boom, as well as two springs that allow the boom to naturally follow sloping terrain. Tilt correction is mechanical and automatic. A hydraulic tilt corrector is available for more specialised applications. Main characteristics:

EQUILIBRA suspension

The EQUILIBRA suspension with pendulum links provides the boom with a three-dimensional shock absorption system. The EQUILIBRA suspension system allows the boom to remain perfectly parallel to the ground when driving over rough terrain. The boom runs smoothly over the ground and the crops without shifts or drifts!
On uneven terrain, the combination of a pendulum and links offers sufficient freedom of movement to keep the boom steady, regardless of the type of terrain encountered. Two shock absorbers also dampen and limit vertical movements to keep the boom perfectly level, especially when cornering at high speed.
The EQUILIBRA suspension is designed to work in intensive conditions and includes an independent anti-whiplash system protecting the boom while cornering or during acceleration/braking.

Simple and well-designed spraying circuit

Sprayer set-up is a key step in the spraying application. With two main valves, the total number of filling operations required before rinsing is considerably reduced, and so is the risk of error. With a simple circuit, all sprayer actions are under control. With the ALTIS 2 sprayer, imagine what you can do before even touching a valve!
Even after not having used the sprayer for quite some time, getting back into the hang of it is easy.

Although easy to use, its shorter circuit allows for reduced dead volumes, which simplifies the rinsing process. When you're finished spraying, you can be assured that the sprayer is entirely rinsed!

MANUSET operation

Manual MANUSET operation offers you complete control when preparing your products. With only 2 main manual valves, all of the sprayer's functions are controlled from the operator's control station.
With the 360° multifunction handwheels, handling operations are reduced by up to 50%. Thanks to an ergonomic design, the valves are easily operated for a simple, trouble-free set-up. Multifunction handwheels make spraying easier.
During rinsing, a 360° rotation with the delivery circuit handwheel ensures that the water drawn in by the pump is conveyed into all sprayer circuits. The rinsing tank level gauge at the work station allows for even easier sequencing of the rinsing operations.

MANUSET manual operation, simple and economical

DILUSET+ operation

Rinsing of the sprayer or the boom, from the cab.
Suction filling is programmable and stops automatically when the setpoint is reached. A dual control also allows you to maintain control of all the functions from the operator's control station.
During rinsing, and without exiting the tractor cab, simply click the terminal to draw in water. Then send it where you want it to go: to the rotary washers to rinse the tank, or directly to the boom to rinse boom pipes, without diluting the spray mixture in the tank.
Finally, the actual volume remaining in the tank can be displayed on the in-cab terminal throughout the entire spraying operation.
Available with REB3 / VISIOREB / ISOBUS terminals.

Suction filling is programmable and stops automatically when the setpoint is reached. The "EASYSET" remote unit allows the operator to control all functions from the operator control station.
During the rinsing process, the RINS ASSIST system automates the rinsing sequence based on the amount of product remaining in the machine. The system ensures 1% dilution of the tank residue.
Finally, the actual volume remaining in the tank can be displayed on the in-cab terminal throughout the entire operation.
Available with REB3 / VISIOREB / ISOBUS terminals.

Quick and safe incorporation of crop protection products

The sprayer's 35-litre chemical induction bowl is characterised by its funnel shape, enabling efficient incorporation of all types of products: liquids, powders and granule. The rinsing system consists of 2 rotary nozzles designed to clean jugs, measuring cups, containers and the chemical induction bowl.
The induction bowl has only one valve through which the active ingredient can be introduced into the circuit. This valve is safely actuated by a foot pedal thus avoiding the need for the operator to bend down. All other operations are carried out using the hand-held lance located nearby. The induction bowl is rinsed with the cover closed, thereby preventing any risk of splashing or misting.

Numerous optional equipment is available that can provide operational comfort which can be adapted to meet all requirements.

2-arm MTS2 steel boom, from 15 to 18 metres

Equipped with the TRAPEZIA suspension frame, the MTS2 boom is made of steel. Steel offers a durable, corrosion-resistant solution thanks to Kuhn’s proven painting process. With its robust design, it has a number of advantages, such as nozzle protection across the entire width of the boom and a 3-dimensional retractable safety arm.

Compact aluminium booms from 20 to 24 metres

With the MTA3 and MEA3 booms, KUHN proposes diagonal folding, not lateral or vertical. The goal is to limit the number of joints while maintaining compactness. The rear overhand remains perfectly under control.
These booms have the following features as standard:

2-arm aluminium booms from 15 to 28 metres

The RHPM and RHPA booms are characterised by a simple and proven structure, and the kinematics with single articulation ensure quick unfolding. These booms have the following features as standard:

Hydraulic boom folding/unfolding solutions

Different unfolding kinematics are possible with the various booms available for the ALTIS 2 sprayer.
The boom is unfolded by first selecting the desired functions on the spray terminal and then by operating the tractor's control valve.
As an option, the CH10 control box is used to control each function independently. The sprayer then uses the tractor's continuous pumping to provide oil for the functions.

Kuhn proposes several circulations on the DELTIS 2 sprayer:

Standard: a simple and economical solution.
Continuous hydraulic circulation (CCH): the system continuously circulates the spray mixture in the boom when it is not being sprayed.
Continuous electrical circulation (CCE): the system continuously circulates the spray mixture in the boom and is associated with a nozzle-by-nozzle cut-off feature.
AUTOSPRAY: High-pressure circulation with smart nozzle bodies using PWM technology. Controlled nozzle opening.

3-arm MEA3 HD aluminium boom measuring 24 metres

The MEA3 HD boom is made of aluminium and equipped with EQUILIBRA suspension. Available in 24 m width, this ramp has a robust structure to ensure long service life. All the folding kinematics are horizontal, and the integration of the MEA3 HD boom is optimized for compact folding.

Automatic section control is becoming a standard option, enabling both spraying precision and operator comfort. Designed around the GPS Section Control function with a 7-inch touchscreen, the VISIOREB terminal is perfectly adapted to agricultural spraying operations.

DPAE ISOBUS solutions with CCI 50 and 1200 terminals

The ISOBUS spraying application allows the sprayer to be controlled from the tractor's ISOBUS terminal in the cab, or the CCI 50 or 1200 terminals.
All of the important precision spraying-related information is displayed on the screen and can be adjusted according to your preferences.
An ISOCLICK control unit allows you to maintain control of operating functions at high speed.

Pre-fitted front-end sprayer (PF) for ALTIS 2

With capacity to carry up to 3,500 litres in one trip, this solution allows you to combine the ALTIS 2 with the PF. A single hose connects both sprayers and spray mixture transfers from the PF are managed directly from the cab.

The booms are equipped with 2 or 3 ultrasound sensors which measure and correct the boom height in real time.

Automatic BOOM ASSIST height control system

BOOM ASSIST keeps the boom in the correct position regardless of field topography, automatically adjusting the height, tilt (SLANT) and independent variable geometries (TOTAL). Keeping a boom at the ideal height optimises spray distribution and particularly reduces losses due to wind drift and evaporation.
There's no need to worry about the boom, the sprayer manages it automatically.
